Marcelo Dietrich

Lecturer in Sound Design

Marcelo O. Dietrich joined the Yale Medical School as an Assistant Professor in Comparative Medicine and Neuroscience in 2014. He received his MD and PhD degrees from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). His laboratory at Yale is dedicated to the study of animal behaviors and their underlying mechanisms. At YSD, he develops a collaborative project with Matthew Suttor to investigate and teach the process of creativity in arts and science, combining the two disciplines in the classroom. In this experimental class, students from his laboratory collaborate with students from the Drama school to understand the process of discovery across disciplines.
