Erin C. Buckley ’06 is thrilled to announce that her short-form digital series, PLATONIC, is now available for streaming exclusively on YouTube. Set in a memory of New York City just before the pandemic, PLATONIC follows Olive (a gay Brooklynite) and Billy (her straight best friend) as they look for love and document their search via voicemail messages to each other. Many YSD alumni collaborated to bring this series to life, including actors Erin Felgar ’07, Joe Gallagher ’07, Richard Gallagher ’06, Ryan King ’04, and Jordan Mahome ’05; producer Roweena Mackay ’05; co-producer Amy Aquino ’86; costume designer Christina Lorraine Bullard ’07; and writer-director Erin. Regina Bain ’01, YC ’98 is the new Executive Director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona, Queens. “I am so proud to join this community dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Louis Armstrong,” says Regina. “The House Museum is a crown jewel in American culture. Mr. Armstrong’s archives is among the most significant Black archival collections, and one of the most substantial of any jazz musician.”
